Automation testing replaces repetitive manual checks with scripts that run the same steps every time, usually as part of a CI/CD pipeline. It is most valuable for regression testing, where a change in one area must not break another.
Good automation targets stable behaviour (what a user can do) rather than fragile page structure, and reports failures clearly enough to fix quickly.
