Point of sale for Qatari outlets

POS software for restaurants and shops in Qatar

Our point of sale runs tills, tables and kitchen screens for restaurants, cafés and shops across Qatar, takes NAPS debit, credit card and Apple Pay payments, prints Arabic and English receipts and keeps stock aligned across branches and online.

Restaurant service from table to kitchen screen

Doha's restaurants usually run dine-in, takeaway and delivery at the same time, often from one kitchen. Restaurant mode puts tables on a floor plan, handles modifiers and combos, fires courses when the server is ready, and sends each item to the right kitchen display. Service charge and tips are handled per bill, and split bills let a group at one table pay separately without manual sums.

Self-order kiosks and QR table ordering shorten queues at busy counters, and orders from delivery aggregators can join the same kitchen queue where the platform offers an API. During Ramadan, when iftar orders arrive together, managers can change menus and opening hours by branch and follow live sales for every outlet from the back office.

Retail counters, malls and multi-branch stock

Shops in Qatar's malls and neighbourhood centres need a till that keeps moving at weekend peaks. Retail mode covers barcode and touch-grid selling, weighed items, promotions, gift cards and returns with store credit. Stock is held per branch with transfers, reorder points and batch or expiry tracking for groceries, pharmacies and cosmetics, so head office in Doha sees exactly what each outlet holds.

If you also sell online, the POS syncs stock and prices with Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom web store, so an item sold in a Lusail branch is not still offered on the website. Loyalty points, customer profiles by phone number and WhatsApp receipts tie in-store and online purchases to the same customer.

Payments, receipts and a tax field held at zero

Customers in Qatar pay with NAPS debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and cash. The POS records each method, supports split and partial payments, and links to card terminals where your bank or payment provider offers an integration. For phone and catering orders paid online, QPay and card gateways can take payment before the order is prepared or dispatched.

Qatar has no VAT today, so receipts show no tax line. The tax settings are already in place, though: once a rate applies, it is enabled per product category, and receipts, Z reports and accounting exports show the tax without a software change. The till keeps selling during internet outages and syncs sales and stock when the connection returns.

Questions

POS software: common questions

Yes, through your card terminal. Where your bank or payment provider offers a terminal integration, the POS sends the amount and receives the result automatically. If not, the terminal runs on its own and the cashier records the payment method on the POS, so shift closing still matches the card totals.
