Point of sale for shops and restaurants
ZATCA compliant POS software for Saudi retail and restaurants
Our point of sale runs counters, tables and kitchens for Saudi retailers and restaurants, issues ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoices with QR codes on every receipt, and keeps stock and sales in one view across branches.
Phase 2 e-invoicing at the till
Every sale at a Saudi counter is a simplified tax invoice under ZATCA rules. Once your business falls into a Phase 2 wave, each POS has to produce an XML invoice with a cryptographic stamp, chain it to the previous invoice by hash, print a QR code on the receipt and report it to FATOORA within 24 hours. Our POS does this as part of the sale, not as a separate export.
Each till is onboarded as its own e-invoicing unit with its own certificate, which we set up with your team. B2B sales, such as catering orders for a company, produce standard tax invoices that are cleared before they are shared. Returns and discounts after sale produce credit notes linked to the original invoice, so your VAT return reconciles with what the tills recorded.
Restaurants, cafés and retail on one back office
Restaurant mode handles dine-in tables, takeaway and delivery, with modifiers, combos and kitchen display screens that route each item to the right station. Evening rushes during Ramadan are when order routing and speed matter most. Orders from delivery apps such as HungerStation and Jahez can be brought into the same queue where the platform offers an integration, so staff stop re-typing them.
Retail mode covers barcode scanning, weighed items, promotions, loyalty points and returns. Both modes share one back office, so a bakery with a café, or a chain with shops and restaurants, sees sales, stock and staff performance together. Branch managers approve price overrides and voids from their phone, and head office sets menus and prices centrally.
Payments, receipts and hardware
Most Saudi customers pay by mada card or phone. The POS records cash, mada, credit card, Apple Pay and STC Pay, supports split bills and links to payment terminals where your acquiring bank or provider offers an integration, so the amount does not have to be typed twice. Where no integration exists, the terminal runs standalone and the cashier selects the method.
Receipts print in Arabic and English with your VAT number, the QR code and itemised VAT. We support common thermal printers, barcode scanners, scales, cash drawers and kitchen screens, and confirm your hardware list before setup. The till keeps selling offline during an internet outage and reports queued invoices to ZATCA as soon as the connection returns.

Questions
POS software: common questions
The POS generates Phase 2 invoices with the XML format, cryptographic stamp, hash chain and QR code, and reports or clears them through FATOORA. We handle onboarding of each till with your team using your ZATCA portal access. ZATCA does not certify POS products, so your tax adviser confirms your overall compliance.
