Custom software for Saudi operations

Software development company in Saudi Arabia for custom business systems

We build the systems Saudi companies run on when an off-the-shelf package does not fit: approval workflows, operations dashboards, ERP extensions and the integrations that tie them together, in Arabic and English.

When a Saudi company needs custom software

Most requests start the same way. A company has grown across several branches, runs an ERP for finance, and handles everything else through spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and email approvals. Purchase requests wait on one manager. Stock figures differ between warehouse and accounts. Month-end takes a week. Custom software fixes the specific steps that cost the most time, rather than replacing systems that already work.

Typical builds for Saudi clients include procurement and approval workflows with Arabic notifications, contract and project tracking for contractors, maintenance and work order systems for facilities companies, and customer or supplier portals that sit on top of an existing ERP. We map the real process with the people who use it, including the exceptions, before a single screen is designed.

ZATCA e-invoicing, VAT and your existing ERP

If your system issues tax invoices, it has to meet ZATCA rules. Under Phase 2, standard B2B invoices are cleared through the FATOORA platform before they reach the buyer, and simplified B2C invoices are reported within 24 hours. Each invoice carries a UBL XML file, a cryptographic stamp and a QR code. We build this into new systems or add it as a layer beside an older one.

Many companies already run SAP Business One, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics or a local accounting package. We integrate with these through their APIs or database connectors, so custom tools read and write the same customers, items and cost centres. Where an ERP cannot produce compliant e-invoices, we can build a middleware service that generates, signs and submits them, and returns the status to your finance team.

Scoping, security and hand-over

We start with a paid discovery of one to three weeks. You get a process map, a data model, a phased plan and a fixed price for the first release. That release covers the workflow that hurts most, goes live with real users, and the next phase is planned from what they actually use. Large systems are never delivered in one drop.

Access control, audit logs and data retention are designed around PDPL from the start. If your organisation follows the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls, we work inside that programme: your identity provider, your logging tools and your change process. At the end you receive the source code, documentation, infrastructure scripts and admin access, so your own team or another vendor can take over.

Built for the market

Built for how Saudi businesses operate

  • Invoices cleared or reported to ZATCA FATOORA under Phase 2, with QR codes and 15% VAT handled correctly.
  • Hijri and Gregorian dates side by side on screens, reports and printed documents.
  • Approval notifications in Arabic by email, SMS or WhatsApp, following your delegation rules.
  • Branch, cost centre and commercial registration details kept per entity for groups with several companies.
  • Hosting in-Kingdom where data residency applies, with access logs your auditors can review.
  • Releases and downtime scheduled around the Sunday to Thursday week and Ramadan hours.
Time zone

Language
Arabic first, with English as a second language and right-to-left layouts throughout.

Questions

Software development: common questions

Four things: the number of user roles and workflows, the integrations with systems you already run, reporting and printed documents in two languages, and compliance work such as ZATCA e-invoicing or in-Kingdom hosting. A focused first release is usually a fraction of the full system cost, and discovery gives you a fixed price before you commit.
